$54.95

When you want speed and simplicity getting dressed or geared up, but you don’t want to give up micro-adjustability in size, you’ll get hooked on our new Wilderness Swift Belt the first time you wear it. It features the classic hook-and-loop adjustment of our other belts to get that perfect sizing, but it buckles with with a proprietary hook engineered by Tom Kelley of Dark Star Gear.

Black Wolf Grey Coyote Ranger

• This is NOT the normal hook and loop belt closure, which is always included as a basic part of the belt. See “Added Hook and Loop Options” below.

• The added hook or loop fastener option makes the belt a custom order, which is non-returnable. Correct sizing is even more vital than usual, so please look at our sizing guide videos for proper fitment.

• The slight added thickness and stiffness of the hook or loop fastener may not allow the belt body to fit through very tight belt channels on some holsters and accessory pouches.

Description

Swift Belt for CCWWhen you want speed and simplicity getting dressed or geared up, but you don’t want to give up micro-adjustability in size, you’ll get hooked on our new Wilderness Swift Belt the first time you wear it. It features the classic hook-and-loop adjustment of our other belts to get that perfect sizing, but it buckles with with a proprietary hook engineered by Tom Kelley of Dark Star Gear.

The buckle incorporates a small 5° relief to better follow the natural angle of the hips and make closure more…swift! Slipping the hook down into the 1.5″ wide belt’s securing loop is instant and secure. After you initially adjust the belt to fit, you may never have to use the Velcro closure again — at least until Thanksgiving.

Swift Buckle simplicityOur Swift buckle is laser-cut from premium 7075-T6 aluminum for toughness and light weight. This stronger alloy allows the buckle to be very thin and reduce its metal detector signature dramatically, making your life easier. The buckles are then tumbled to soften the edges, and finally anodized black.

This flat and narrow Swift buckle is super low-profile for concealed carry, but can also be used in “tunnel” style MOLLE/PALS warbelt sleeves and belt pads since access to the hook and loop fastener isn’t required each time you put it on.

The Swift Belt body uses the same durable and comfortable custom webbing as our other time-tested belts. It is available with all of the expected Wilderness options, including choosing your belts stiffness with standard 3-stitch (more flexible), enhanced 5-stitch (more vertically rigid; the most popular option), or heavy-duty CSM (polymer-lined Combat Shooters Model). We offer both every-inch specific sizing or Easy-Fit sizing, hook or loop lining inside, and Black, Wolf Grey, Coyote, and Ranger colors.

Switchable Ambidextrous Buckle Use

As long as the retention hook on our Swift buckle is pointing down, it can be installed on the belt body with the buckle facing right or left depending on whichever side you would like the Velcro fasteners for sizing adjustment. There is no universally correct answer.

Users of the excellent DCC (Discreet Carry Concepts) clips on AIWB holsters may find the combined thickness of the webbing and Velcro-closure side can be difficult to fasten and unfasten them over. You may unfasten the running adjustment end of the the belt, clip on the holster, and re-fasten the belt end over the clips after putting on the holster, but that does put more daily wear on the hook and loop fastener. We think a better solution is to unthread the belt body from the buckle, reverse the buckle (hook must still point down), and rethread the belt body through both of the buckling slots so the Velcro securing fastener is now on the opposing side to the holster. This positions the clips over the thinner side of the belt body near the closure hook’s webbing loop (*see photo).

Proper Velcro Usage

While you probably won’t need to fasten and unfasten the Velcro closure as often on this belt, the end with the hook fastener MUST be threaded through both slots of the buckle before adhering it to the loop (fuzzy) Velcro on the belt body. This threading around the center bar creates friction on to hold the webbing in place and prevents premature failure of the hook and loop fastener material. Obvious misuse and premature wear are considered misuse and not covered under warranty.

Belt Sizing

*We strongly recommend using a measuring tape to check your correct size. Your pants size is not your correct belt size and is usually off by at least 2″, and we have found that the markings on other belts are not always accurate. Please read and use our belt sizing guide.

If your measured belt size is over 50″ we strongly encourage you to check out the Easy-Fit belts. Their simplified sizing offers extra range of adjustment which makes correct sizing easier. This is important both to the belt doing its job for you and because the higher size ranges are custom and non-returnable.

Custom Size Notes: 46″-49″ add $5.00, 50″-59″ add $10.00, 60″-69″ add $15.00, 70″-79″ add $20.00 on all belts (please call for 60″+ orders for advice on belt style); 46″ and larger, or 32″ and smaller, are custom made and non-returnable.

5-stitch pattern

The standard 3-stitch model offers very good load-bearing and comfort with inside-the-pants holster carry. The 5-stitch model is our favorite and most popular. It offers two additional stitch lines along the length of the belt which significantly stiffen it and enhance load bearing. It’s vertical rigidity is similar to a high-quality leather gunbelt, yet it is horizontally and rotationally flexible for comfort. We think this is the best one for most gun-carrying operations, both inside-the-pants and belt holsters. The Combat Shooters Model (C.S.M.) adds a polyethylene insert which adds even more vertical rigidity. This model is slightly thicker than the 3- or 5-stitch models. We recommend it for action shooters and security work where numerous items such as duty holsters will be worn on the belt.

Added Hook and Loop Options

Multipurpose Swift useWe now offer the option of adding hook or loop fastener to the inside or outside of most of our belts. This helps to secure many hook or loop fastener-lined duty belts and warbelts in place when using ours as an underbelt. When used on the inside, it can help lock our belt into place when using it over a hook or loop fastener-lined underbelt on your pants. Some pouches also feature hook or loop inside of their belt loops to aid in keeping them in place.

*Note that this option makes the belt a custom order which is non-returnable. Correct sizing is even more vital than usual, so please look at our sizing guide videos for proper fitment here. **The slight added thickness and stiffness of the hook or loop fastener may not allow the belt body to fit through very tight belt channels on some holsters and accessory pouches.
